As per Planon version L92 release notes, we have communicated the end-of-life of this product, which will reach its end-of-life with Planon version L109. Connect for Outlook (C4O) will then transition to the product Connect for Calendar (C4C).
Why transition?
Besides the end-of-life need to transition from C4O to C4C, there are many useful features in C4C, including:
- More detailed permissions settings: Microsoft’s Graph API provides finer grained permissions (e.g. read-only, read-write) to parts of its API;
- More flexibility: With C4C, Planon also supports synchronisation with other reservation management systems (e.g. Google);
- In the lead: C4C puts you ‘in the lead’ with respect to determining whether a meeting request is accepted or not.
For more detailed information on these features, please consult the enclosed pdf.
A seamless transition
To ensure a seamless transition, it will be necessary to migrate to C4C at your earliest convenience. If you haven't already discussed this with your account manager, please reach out to get further information about the migration process and address any questions or concerns you may have.
If you are not using C4O, then no migration needs to take place. However, we recommend you look into synchronising reservation-related information between Planon and your organisation’s calendars. Your account manager will be happy to talk to you about C4C and its capabilities.
